What are you going to do? 

Would you like to know what it is like to work, learn and specialise in a 2-year traineeship in the international trade department of Eneco? Then make sure to apply for a spot during the inhouse day on the 25th of April and get a unique chance to see how Eneco Energy Trade works.  During the inhouse day, you and a group of ambitious students will get to know what Eneco Energy Trade really does and what type of assignments you can possibly work on. You will also get the chance to ask current trainees as well as employees all your questions, get a feeling of the working atmosphere, and actively work on a representative activity. This way, you get to discover if the EET  Traineeship is a good fit for you!

You like to be responsible and go for something. This is how you get things done. You are flexible and can focus well at the same time. In the rapidly changing energy market this is a quality you need to have. You know how to solve complex situations quickly. You do this from an analytical point of view, but you are also decisive and can explain or present this to your colleagues.  

During the traineeship you will become acquainted with various specialisations. The EET traineeship focuses on Portfolio Management, Trading, Structuring of Energy and Operations: 

• Portfolio Management: balancing Eneco's portfolios of gas, electricity and certificates from our assets and for our customers, using quantitative models. 
• Trading: trading energy in a constantly changing volatile market. 
• Structuring: negotiating non-standard large energy contracts, such as Power Purchase Agreements with wind farms or gas sourcing contracts with gas suppliers. 
• Operations: modeling and implementing new assets and contracts, ensuring settlement and confirmation for all deals and improving the operational structure in our organization.

Eneco Energy Trade (EET) is the international trade department of Eneco. The place where the demand and supply of energy meet. Who are we looking for? 

• You are working towards the graduation of your master of science in a technical, economic or quantitative field, for example: aerospace engineering, technical business administration, physics or econometrics. Or you have graduated no more than 2 years ago; 
• You possess strong analytical skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. You are eager to learn and quickly take up new areas of interest; 
• And of course you have a large interest in sustainability and green energy.
