The In-house Day

By means of presentations, a case study and interactive speed-date sessions you will learn more about our work and starting positions at ABN AMRO’s Global Markets division. You will get the opportunity to meet our colleagues from a variety of Global Markets teams: Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Sales, Trading, and several of our digital business initiatives. Eventually we will also inform you on the possibilities of the Global Markets Corporate & Institutional Banking Talent Programme and end the day with some virtual drinks!

Global Markets

Markets is the heart of Corporate & Institutional Banking and advises clients on the purchase and sale of (complex) financial products - for example, currency, stocks, bonds, fixed-income and structured products. Our clients vary from Private Banking to (Large) Corporate Clients, Public Sector and Financial Institutions. We carry out transactions for them from our dealing rooms in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London and Paris.

Corporate & Institutional Banking Talent Programme

Your first 5 weeks at ABN AMRO start with the Corporate & Institutional Banking Talent Programme, where together with your colleague trainees you get to know the corporate bank you will be working for. During this period, you familiarize yourself with the corporate bank and participate in a training programme that includes professional and personal development sessions. After completing the 5 week programme you start in the Global Markets rotation programme, during which you will work in different parts of the dealing room over the course of 18 months. In addition, you get the chance to branch out into one of the other departments within the corporate bank, thereby broadening your knowledge and network. It is also possible to gain experience in one of our offices in Europe. After 18 months, you are ready for the starting point that best matches your skills and ambitions.
Profile

Do you match the profile below?

• In the final phase of your academic career (3rd year Bachelor or Master).
• Proven affinity with financial markets and interest in investment products.
• Social and strong communication skills.
• Quick learner with an analytical mindset.
• (Internship) experience in Financial Markets and/or programming/IT development skills.
• Relevant extracurricular activities and/or experience abroad.
