Als mij een jaar of vier geleden was verteld dat ik voor de gemeente Den Haag zou gaan werken, had ik het niet geloofd. De gemeente had voor mij toch een saai en ‘stoffig’ imago. Het tegendeel bleek waar, toen ik in gesprek raakte met een aantal toenmalige trainees. Zij vertelden mij over de carrièremogelijkheden binnen de gemeente en over de unieke positie van trainees.

Dit was de feedback die ik vandaag kreeg. Mijn reactie? “Oké… ik weet niet of dit positief of negatief is… en wat bedoel je er precies mee?”. Het antwoord op deze vraag: “Dat je uitspreekt wat je graag wilt, opzoek bent naar kansen, risico’s durft te nemen, en dat je dit alles doet met veel enthousiasme en een lach op je gezicht”.
