Are you a graduate with a technical master’s degree? Are you eager for innovation and do you want to experience working at a start-up and a corporate? Join our Innovation X!LEAD Trainee Programme!
The Innovation X!LEAD Trainee Programme starts in March 2021 and lasts 1,5 year in total. Through our unique programme you can experience working in different working environments while developing yourself on a personal and professional level.

During the programme, you will rotate on three strategic, innovative projects for a duration of six months, at both fast-growing start-ups and two corporates in different industries. Your personal development is central in our programme and we will further develop your skillset with our tailor-made development programme. What we offer:

During the first six months, you'll have the possibility to work at different start-ups such as Innovative Solutions in Space, The Green Village, Summerheat, Robohouse, SAMXL, SD-Insights and more. At a start-up, no two days are the same. Here, life is fast-paced, and you will be a full employee joining a start-up as they are in the process of launching a particular product or service. Learn what it takes to successfully pitch an idea to investors, transfer from concept to reality, and set up an organisation and keep it running.

During the corporate period you’ll work for 2x6 months on a strategic innovation project at either ABN Amro, DSM, Rabobank, Nouryon, Brunel, JUVA or one of our other corporate partners. What can you expect from a strategic innovation project?

• F.e. at Nouryon you have the opportunity to work on their industry 4.0 programme, where you can help build the chemical factory’s of the future. Or would you rather develop an innovation on Industrial Chemicals? By innovating their use of chloride, high purity salt or improve their performance of battery's?
• At JUVA you can impact for a better society by creating a more sustainable energy support in the Netherlands.
• At Rabobank you can either develop a proposition where Rabobank’s clients, f.e. farmers, can protect themselves against sudden price drops and incorporate this on a digital platform. Or you can work at Carbon Banking, where you can contribute to reducing the impact on the earth.

At the same time, you will follow our tailor-made development programme, which is organized in cooperation with the TU Delft and partners such as Roland Berger. The X!LEAD development programme provides you with courses and coaching sessions to enlarge impact. You will be equipped with relevant training on consultancy skills to accelerate your performance, such as business modelling and problem-solving analyses. In addition, essential training on key tech developments such as Robotics, AI, and ethics in design is part of the programme. Your skillset will be developed further to disrupt innovation through effective storytelling and design thinking.

Responsibilities of the X!LEAD trainee:

In this programme, you will:

• Gain experience at both a start-up and a large corporate
• Learn and work at the same time
• See first-hand how each organisation operates
• Develop and carry out innovative projects using new technologies and business models
• Follow our X!LEAD development programme
• Build a network within our unique ecosystem

Who are you?

• For this traineeship, we’re looking for top tech talent, with a combination of knowledge, an entrepreneurial mindset and essential soft skills.

Can you meet these requirements for application?

• You are in the possession of a technical master’s degree from a Dutch university and you have no more than two years of working experience
• You have a professional working knowledge of English, professional working knowledge of Dutch is not required but can be an asset for specific partners
• You have legal eligibility to work in the Netherlands for the duration of the programme

Salary:

You will receive a 1.5-year contract and there will be an equal salary for all participants:

• € 2.050,- per month during the start-up period
• € 2.800,- per month during the corporate period
• In March 2021 we offer 10 Trainees the opportunity to start as an X!LEAD Trainee.
