Let us explain. Valtech Netherlands is participating in the International Valtech Talent Program for Java and .NET Developers, starting March 13th, 2017. Four countries participate in this program: Denmark, France, Germany and of course the Netherlands.

The program has place for 10 developers per country, so the program will consist of 40 talented people in March. The program allows you as an entrant to follow a unique and international training in the four participating countries. After that, you´ll start working as a Developer at one of our Dutch offices (Amsterdam, Amersfoort, Eindhoven or Utrecht).

Java & .NET program
The program is split up into two: one focusing on Java web development and one on .NET. We'll work with you to develop your talents as a Java or .NET Developer to expand your toolbox by working with some of the leading web technology platforms.

Both programs will teach you what it’s like to work in a digital agency with actual clients. You will learn how we work, how we scope projects and get to know the disciplines necessary to become a strong digital consultant working with large- scale, digital projects.

Alright, sounds cool. For whom?

The talent program is a great opportunity for recent or soon to be ICT graduates who want to develop digital solutions in a vibrant, creative and international environment. During the program you'll be part of an international group of talents based in each of our offices in Copenhagen, Munich, Paris and Amsterdam.

And how long does the traineeship last?

As mentioned before, the program will take place in four different countries. For 2 months, you'll be touring across these countries and improve your coding skills at the same time. After that you'll start working as a Developer at one of our Dutch offices.

What will be taught?

During the program, you’ll be trained in and introduced to:

• Valtech’s vision, mission, culture, values, leadership principles and brand promise
• Other disciplines at Valtech such as Digital Design, User Experience, Interface Development, SEO, Data Analytics, Content Management etc.
• Digital Marketing
• Agile Methods and Principles
• Digital Project Management
• Best practices within Java or .NET and CMS technologies
• The Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform or the Sitecore / Episerver platform
• Test driven development
• …and much more

What are the requirements?

The ideal candidate checkmarks the following points:

• You are a recent graduate or are in the process of completing a bachelor or a master coursework or thesis in computer science or similar
• You have a passion for Java or .NET and a strong drive to work with web development
• You have a good understanding of web technology, such as HTTP
• You have basic HTML/CSS skills
• You have some experience with IDE usage, build tools, source code management, Unix/Linux and CMS-systems
• You have strong English language skills, both oral and written
• You have a valid passport
• You thrive in an open and informal environment where freedom comes with accountability
