About you
We are looking for multi-lingual, eager graduates to come and join us, with the aim of becoming one of our future business managers within our European business.
Ideally you will already have gained first-hand experience, or have an educational background in Logistics and Transport, however we do accept applications from all degree disciplines. It is our aim to recruit the best people with the best attitudes and we will provide the necessary development for you to be successful on the scheme.
You will need to be fluent in both Dutch and English (knowledge of French, Czech or German is also a big asset) and be looking for a fast moving management training scheme that you can really get excited about.
The job is not 9-5 and won’t be repetitive – you will be out and about, getting involved and really making an impact on the way we do things to constantly improve our performance. Geographic mobility is important as well as the possession of a full driving licence and a car.
You will need to be extremely driven and motivated, and have a real desire to make a difference. You will also need to share our passion for people, both as a team player and as a future senior manager.
About the role
Our Graduate Management Trainee Scheme commences on Monday 08 February 2016, and alongside a local orientation in our European Head Office (based in Bleiswijk) you will also attend a 3 day central induction in the UK at our Gist UK Head Office in September 2016. During this time you will learn about the business strategy, and have the opportunity to network with our UK Graduate class and a selection of senior managers within our business.
You will become a key member of the team, fully understanding our operations, working with key customers and helping to drive business critical projects.
You will complete various placements over the three year Management Trainee Scheme within The Netherlands, UK or Mainland Europe to build your understanding of the business. Each of your Graduate placements will be tailored around you, to best maximise your development in line with business need. Graduate placements will predominately focus around an Operational role, supporting the delivery of our Warehouse and Transport Operations within a operational depot environment, however there will also be scope to explore other areas of our European business including Business Development, Marketing, SHEQ, Consulting, Operations Administration, IT and Finance.
You will need to be geographically mobile as your placements could be based anywhere in our network. You will very quickly build up the skills and knowledge you will need to succeed in the logistics industry, manage operations in different environments and constantly face new challenges.
As your graduate scheme develops, you will have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and accountability and make real impact on the business. We will provide you with structured management and support to enable you to flourish.

After application screening, the next step in the process is a telephone interview. The final step in the process is our Assessment Centre which will take place on Wednesday 20 January 2016 in our European Head Office site based in Bleiswijk.
