International, innovative, sustainable and… orange!
That’s right, we’re talking about ING. The leading Dutch bank for digital banking. You’ll know us through our mobile banking app that lets you carry out all your bank transactions yourself. And you’ll know us as the sponsor of Dutch football. Maybe even through your own club.
We help our customers to stay one step ahead, in both their private and professional lives. The same goes for our own people. Their wellbeing is our top priority. We strive for a healthy work-life balance of our employees.
Who we are
We’re an international bank operating in more than 40 countries. We work on a global scale, for tens of millions of customers.
We’re innovative. We’re big, but we adopt a start-up mindset whenever we can, embracing the latest technologies, insights and working methods. We experiment and break new ground. If we occasionally make mistakes, we learn from them and we encourage our teams to try out new ways of working and thinking. We were the very first bank to introduce agile working, like Spotify.
We’re sustainable. Sustainability is integrated in everything we do at ING. In the products we offer our customers, such as 'green loans'. In our investments in renewable energy. And in the days off that our employees can take to do voluntary work and our benefits offers to stay fit.
Above all we’re orange. We roll up our sleeves and finish the job. We’re transparent, take responsibility and help others to be successful. We go for it 100%.
Make an impact as a trainee
Allow your talent to flourish. Discover everything about your traineeship. ING offers promising master graduates the chance to make the absolute most of their talent on a two-year traineeship within the bank: the International Talent Programme (ITP).
Our traineeship is a two-year programme. It starts with three rotations, of which you can even do one abroad. After these three rotations you start in your permanent role.
During your traineeship you'll attend two Global Trainee events, and you'll do three training courses to strenghten your professional skills. One of these is specific and mandatory for your track, the other two training courses are to be choosen by you and match your own learning goals.
There are 8 different traineeship tracks you can choose from:
- Operations & change
- Wholesale Banking
- Retail Banking
You are in charge of shaping your own career. But you don’t have to do it alone. You start in a class of trainees, who stay with you for the rest of the programme. You will become part of an international ‘year group’ of over 100 trainees – a fantastic network from which you will reap the benefits for the rest of your life. In addition, you are appointed a personal HR trainee manager who will help you shape your development and future career. Lastly, right from the start you’ll have a trainee buddy and later on in the traineeship you’ll be appointed an external coach.
We create an environment that allows you to discover, and develop, your own potential. We provide you with all the facilities you need to get the best out of yourself. The floor is yours.
